Business cards serve as your first impression to your clients and is considered as one of the least expensive forms of advertising and is absolutely an effective way to promote yourself or your company. It must contain your pertinent details like name, address, fax, phone, website and email. Additional information such as a one-liner company description will help people to learn and understand more about you and your company. Stay away from all caps and fancy print because even if they look great, they may be hard to read. One must also not overdo the information provided in the business card. It may be distracting to people and they can lose their interest. Many business cards also leave the back part empty and it is a waste of important ad space. The back portion can be utilized for a list of products and services, notes, photos or valuable company information. The more significant the information provided in the card, people will more likely keep it. Use colors to your advantage by highlighting your important information such as your name, logo and website.
When you meet up with your clients and discuss your services to them and provide them with valuable information, you can give out your Business Cards. Other businesses also use it as event passes. You should find an event first which you can use for promotion and give out passes to your audience for people to know about you. They will surely be glad to accept the passes especially when they know that these are for free.
