I came back to the metropolis last Saturday to face new challenges and continue with the duties and responsibilities that I left behind when I went to have my Christmas vacation. I had more than a day to take some rest before getting on to my duties but I still don’t feel like working again. I miss my family. I was with them for two weeks and being away from them again contributes to the sadness that I feel right now. I need to get use to not having them around me. I don’t know when I am going to see them again. I am being sentimental here and many people may think I am overreacting. I know that I cannot please everyone and I have long accepted that reality. I believe that this is the first time that I shared about my feelings toward my family and it took me quite an amount of courage to talk about this. Maybe, just maybe, I can share more here some other time.

I went home to my hometown last December 22, 2007 to spend the holidays with my family. I was there for around two weeks, my longest vacation ever. It was a very enjoyable and memorable experience for me. My parents were very glad that I was able to come home and be with them because they really missed my presence. I haven’t gone home for two years. That’s quite a long time, isn’t it? My siblings were very happy as well, especially my youngest sister. She is very fond of me and look up to me as a role model. To add more spice to the holidays, relatives from other places came to our house to celebrate Christmas and New Year with us. There were a lot of dancing and singing, fireworks displays that make the starry skies brighter and more colorful and there were firecrackers that fill the streets with so much noise. Christmas and New Year is never complete without delicious food served on the table. We had roast pig, spaghetti, fruit salad, homemade ham by my Mom, seafood, suman, kinilaw, sotanghon, dinuguan and other dishes.
During other days, I managed to meet up with my old friends and bonded with them. I even saw my old flings and it felt good to see them. Of course, past is past. It’s just refreshing to know that despite the not-so-good times we had, we still remained friends. I haven’t seen these folks for a long time and seeing them again made my stay more worthwhile.
With all the things that transpired during my stay in my hometown, I could say that it was one great vacation I will never forget.

One of the movies that I am looking forward to watch is National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, a sequel of the film National Treasure which was shown in 2004. My boyfriend and I have long waited for it to be shown and when we knew it will be released on December 21, we made sure that we are free on that day to go to the cinema. It was only a few days ago when I learned that instead of December 21, it will be shown on January 8, 2008 in our country. I was really disappointed because I wanted to see it before Christmas.
Stars on this film include Nicolas Cage (Benjamin Franklin Gates), Justin Bartha (Riley Poole), Diane Kruger (Abigail Gates), Jon Voight (Patrick Henry Gates), Harvey Keitel (FBI Agent Peter Sadusky), Helen Mirren (Emily Appleton Gates), Ed Harris (Jeb Wilkinson), Bruce Greenwood (US President), Alicia Coppola (FBI Agent Dawes), Manny Oliveres (Secret Service Agent) and Joel Gretsch (Thomas Gates).
Despite its moved premiere, we will definitely free our schedules to watch it on the big screen!

I haven’t seen my college friends for a long time and yesterday, one of them made the motion to have our once in a blue moon rendezvous. There was supposedly four of us who will meet, two guys and 2 girls but unfortunately, my other girl friend had her office Christmas party so only three of us will meet. My boyfriend came with us since he was not new in the group. We met in Glorietta at around 6pm and we decided to have dinner at North Park. We had a delectable and sumptuous meal as we chatted about different topics which resulted to a dining experience full of fun and laughter. I think that our voices were quite loud but it was good that people just ignored us.
After dinner, we decided to go to boutiques and looked for stuff for our respective exchange gifts activities. Having bought our presents, we found ourselves heading towards Time Zone. We definitely had a great time as we tried out several machines. As our finale game, the four of us played basketball. Do you know who won? ME! Yes, I absolutely defeated the guys. They were shocked! Having searched high and low for wonderful Christmas destinations, I discovered that these are the places that remain on top of the list:
New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco are the most popular cities that holidaymakers would surely love in this festive season with all their incredible shopping opportunities and attractions. Las Vegas is the place to be for gamblers with its maelstrom of casinos and excellent hotels.
Beach lovers will surely have fun in the Caribbean Islands and the Bahamas for their beautiful sand beaches and clear blue waters.
Paris is not only the city for lovers but is also considered as the City of Lights. Glistening lights amidst the moonlit night is such a breath-taking view. Beautiful and dazzling city lights all over the city and fireworks will surely serve as an enjoyable eye candy. Fashionable people will definitely love Italy. Rome churches are marvelously decorated and Christmas is celebrated vivaciously. Prague is one of the most visited places during the holidays as the Old Town Square becomes full of tourists buying goods and many of them also relax and make the most of Prague’s interesting and fun-filled activities. Amsterdam, Switzerland and France offer snow-capped mountains suitable for skiing.
Sydney is also a wonderful destination with its superb beaches and fascinating countryside.
Various attractions will surely make your holidays worthwhile.

Christmas is in the air! The cool, crisp breeze at night, the “million stars” perched up on trees and by the roadside covered with dazzling Christmas lights, gigantic Christmas trees in big malls, people rushing to complete their Christmas shoppings, booking trips for Christmas vacation destinations, exchanging gifts, company parties are only some of the noticeable activities around us that would tell us that the holiday season is really coming. This is the time of year that most people look forward to because people simply want to be good to everyone and share good tidings. It’s a season for love, happiness, peace, hope and forgiveness.
This is one of the Christmases that I am looking forward to. I will be going home to my hometown and be with my family. I haven’t spent Christmas with them last year due to work reasons but I am so glad that for this year, I can be with them. I miss my ever loving and supportive parents, my siblings and the friends I left. It has been so long since I have seen them. As the date for my trip home gets closer, I find myself lost in reverie as I tread down memory lane.
In my childhood years, I used to believe in Santa Claus. Yes people, I really believed in this old man in red suit with a bushy white beard and mustache who lives in North Pole with the elves who are very busy preparing gifts for children all over the world. Read the rest of this entry…

It felt like decades that I was not able to write something in my blog. The last post I had was November 4 and it was about Pinoy Big Brother. I apologize to all the fans out there of the PBB Celebrity Edition 2 who are looking forward to check out some new updates in my site. I had been very busy lately and I was not able to watch the succeeding episodes. As soon as I can watch Uber or PBB Primetime, I would really love to blog about the events that transpire in the PBB House.
If I am to choose who I want to be included in the Big 4, Ruben, Yayo, Donnie and maybe Gaby. I was told by a friend that Donnie and Gaby are back in the house. But my choices for the Big 4 were actually Ruben, Yayo, Mcoy and Ethel. For me, the four of them are really the strong housemates.
For the PBB Celebrity Edition 2 fanatics, watch out for my next updates! :-)

Do you know that twins can have different fathers? Well, yes it is possible. I didn’t know about this until today.
While I was watching the new ABS-CBN teleserye, Prinsesa ng Banyera, it occurred to me that the twins involved in the story don’t really look alike. I know that there are identical twins which look ,if not exactly, almost alike while fraternal twins are no more alike than any brother or sister. Thus, I could classify the twins in the teleserye as fraternal twins. One crazy thought came to my mind whether it is possible to have twins with different fathers.
I searched for it on the Internet and I found the answer to my question.
According to the DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), a leading testing company in the United States, there are rare cases of twins with different fathers which are more frequently revealed by DNA paternity testing. This happens when a woman ovulates and releases two eggs and these eggs are exposed to sperms from two men. It is possible for her to have fraternal twins or even triplets with different fathers Read the rest of this entry…

I don’t remember when the Koreanovelas really became popular in the Philippines but as far as I can remember, the first Korean film that I watched was in 2004, entitled “My Little Bride” starring Kim Rae Won and Moon Geun-young. I enjoyed watching the movie. That made me watch more Korean films like The Classic, My Sassy Girl and many more.
From then on, I became fond of Korean films and Koreanovelas where I came to notice other good actors whom I admire not only because of their acting skills but also due to their good looks.
Here is the list of my favorite Korean actors Read the rest of this entry…
