This is my own love story. Some of my friends told me that I had an interesting and colorful love life with all the drama I experienced in my past relationships. I was betrayed and hurt and I never thought that all those pains I felt and all the tears I cried will be rewarded with true happiness and will lead me to my one great love.
Here goes my story…
We were neighbors when we were kids. I was 7 years old while my friend JR who lives next door was 9 years old. JR used to go to our house and play games with me and my siblings. He was definitely close to the family. He didn’t know I had a crush on him that time because he only treated me as her younger sister and he had a crush on someone else. My family moved to another place and that’s what’s left of our friendship. We hadn’t seen each other for 11 years and neither did we communicate with each other.

JR didn’t know that when I left, I had a simple prayer from an innocent and young heart like mine. I prayed that someday our paths will meet again and for both of us to be meant for each other. Honestly, when I told him about this, he was shocked and amazed how my innocent feelings for him had led us back together.
When I left the place, we continued with our lives and had our own relationships with other people and the funny thing was, he had forgotten about me but through all those years, the memories we had when we were kids were kept in my heart.
It was only in 2002 that I unexpectedly saw him walking down the street and I just couldn’t explain the feeling of seeing him again. At that instant, the prayer that I had forgotten all those years came back to me and I felt that we had always been meant for each other. I also told him that two weeks before that incident happened, my relationship with my boyfriend was unstable and while I was going over some family pictures, I saw the picture that his mother gave me before my family left. I wondered how he has been doing with his life, whether he was already married or not. That’s why when I saw him down the street, it made me feel that fate was driving us closer to each other.
On that day that I saw him, I called him at home. I got his number from the phone directory. Luckily, we were both under the same telephone company. He totally didn’t recognize me. I exerted the effort to remind him of the things that we used to do in the past and mentioned some of our neighbors. He wasn’t convinced but we continued to talk and that one phone call led to a few more then to a beautiful friendship. It came to the point when he was very intrigued with me and he decided that we meet. On our first friendly date, when he saw me, he told me that he wasn’t interested because I was not her type. So in his mind, if we don’t see each other again, it will be okay. After that rendezvous, we lost communication because I didn’t give him my cell phone number and his phone line got disconnected. That’s why he didn’t know that before the year ended, I broke up with my boyfriend.
On January of 2003 when he had his phone connection back, he came across a slip of paper with my name on it. He forgot who I was but still he called the number and found out that it was me. I was shocked to hear from him again. He asked me for a date and we went out that day. From that time on, we had been together and we are still happily together for almost 5 years and we are now making plans for our marriage.
