“Love at First Sight”. This is a popular cliché that people say every time they meet someone, whom they get interested with, for the first time. The unexplainable intense feeling of a heart beating faster or when you are dumbfounded when you are introduced to the person by a friend, are said to be some of the signs when you experience the feeling of “love at first sight.”
I have several friends who have said this line before and I don’t really agree with them. For me, this kind of feeling is not really “love” but mere infatuation or attraction. You may be attracted to the person you have just met because of his good looks and charming smile or because she is beautiful and sexy, and that is not love at all. In my opinion, for a person to say that he or she loves someone, he or she has to at least know him or her first. You just can’t love a total stranger to you. For me, a good romance usually stems up from a good friendship; friendship is the best way of getting to know someone because you don’t have to give your best foot forward. Who knows, the person whose shoulders you cry on during the rockiest and toughest moments of your life will become the greatest love of your life? After all, only time can tell.
