Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 First Nomination Night

The introduction was a “live” dance presentation by all of the housemates as they grooved to the tune of “budotz dance.” They were all amazing! Their costumes were very colorful and weird but to sum everything up, the performance was a blast!
There were also top three 7K boys who were chosen and they were Victor, Jon and Will. These three gorgeous men had a triple date with Megan, Riza and Ethel. On their date, Kuya served them isaw, tuyo and tokneneng (chicken head). Big Brother ordered all of them to taste and eat the three types of food that were served. It turned out that Megan doesn’t eat tuyo but she still ate her share. After each of them had eaten their share, there were still some food left and Megan suggested that they share the food to the other housemates. Big Brother agreed to her suggestion on one condition: that Megan and Victor should eat all the remaining tuyo and tokneneng. Even if it was against her will, Megan still did her best to eat the street food given to her. She was crying though while she was completing the task.
When Toni asked Megan why she reacted that way, Megan confided that it is her first time to eat street food and she really doesn’t like tuyo. With regard to the tokneneng, she said that she never thought that chicken head is being eaten. For her, it was really weird.
Previous events were shown. There was a time when Kuya asked the housemates to go to the confession room by batch.There were three batches. The housemates, except Jennifer and Baron, were informed by Big Brother that there are 2-in-1 housemates in the house. He explained that when they nominate one of them, the other will also be nominated. Kuya revealed that the 2-in-1 housemates are Jennifer and Marylaine as well as Donald and Baron. Big Brother explained further that if they will give Marylaine 2 points, Jennifer will also earn 2 points. If Baron will get 1 point, Donald will have the same point.
PUNISHMENTS
Three housemates were given punishments: Will, Mariel and Marylaine. They were detained in a cell.
It was also shown that Will was given a chance to have his lapel back. He was given three tasks as a punishment. First, he needed to sing Karaoke with Riza where they sang “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang”. Second, he needed to open the lanzones using his mouth, not with his hands. Third, he had to go to the activity area where he had to get the lapel inside a big glass piggy bank with a lot of cockroaches inside. Will made it! He completed all tasks and thus he no longer has to use a hand-held microphone to communicate to the other housemates because he got his lapel back! Congratulations Will!
With regard to Will’s second task, he completed it with Mariel. Both of them opened the lanzones using their mouths. Mariel was given this punishment due to her cussing when she found out that she is one of the housemates. After completing the second task for 2.5 hours, they were both released by Megan.
Marylaine was also punished by Kuya for her disobedience. Her task was to open all the squash seeds and place the cotyledon or “squash seed meat” in a plate. Marylaine finished it for 5 long hours wherein she was released by Megan after.
Turning back, the jackstone game was also shown where Megan’s team won. As a reward, they were presented two plates: a slice of cake and a cigarette. Megan and Will told Baron to take the cigarette and so Baron did but he felt guilty afterwards thinking he was too selfish.
WEEKLY TASK
Big Brother also asked the housemates to present their weekly task which was to build a small toy railroad on the floor of the House. Task is successful if the toy train runs along the tracks without stopping. They bet 50% of their week’s budget. I am happy to say that the housemates were successful.As a result, they were given 12,000 pesos for the week’s budget. Ethel, Jennifer, Victor and Donald were assigned by Big Brother to do the shopping. They went to the storage room to shop for their food for a week. In the 12K, they spent 11, 979 pesos.
NOMINATION PROPER
The highlight of tonight’s episode was the first nomination night. Each housemate was alloted 3 points and it depends on them to whom they want to give the points. Before the nominated housemates were revealed, Toni presented how the voting was done. She also mentioned that there were some housemates who voted for Mariel but since the latter is not one of the official housemates, the votes for Mariel were not counted. Instead, the housemates who voted for her were told to give the point/s to another person.
Since Kuya wanted Mariel to experience how the nomination goes, she asked for Mariel’s nominees. Mariel pointed out that she wants to give her 3 points to Marylaine. She said that Marylaine seemed to detach herself from the group but in her opinion, Jennifer doesn’t deserve it so he gave the points to other individuals. She gave Macoy 1 point and Zarah 2 points.
The individuals who voted for Mariel were Ethel and Victor who gave her 1 point and Macoy who gave her 2 points because Macoy thinks that Mariel has a difficulty surviving in the house.
Each housemate has his/her own reason why he/she is nominating such housemate:
Will - gave Baron 1 pt because he took the cigarette yet Megan was the one who won for the group; Victor 2 points for trying so hard to be the best
Riza - gave Jon 1 point because he was not helpful; gave Megan 2 points because she is uncomfortable with her
Victor - gave Marylaine 2 points; Ethel 1 point because he thinks there is nothing in common between them
Megan - gave Marylaine 1 point; Baron 2 points because he does not help in the house
Ruben - gave Baron 1 point; Marylaine 2 points because he thinks she can’t “ride-on” with the group
Yayo - gave Marylaine 2 points because she feels she is detaching herself from the group; Megan 1 point because they have not bonded yet
Baron and Donald - gave Zarah 1 point because she’s like a “wallflower” due to her silence; Ruben 2 points because he feels uncomfortable with him
Jennifer and Marylaine - gave Megan 2 points because she thinks she doesn’t fit in the house because she is “maarte”; Ruben 1 point because she thinks Ruben is pretending to be too nice to everyone
Ethel - gave Marylaine 2 points because she could not feel her presence in the house; Zarah 1 point because of the same reason
Macoy - gave Marylaine 1 point; Megan 2 points because she does not have initiative
Gaby - gave Jon 1 point because he does not open up; Marylaine 2 points because she thinks she will have difficulty in the house
Jon - gave Riza 2 points; Jennifer 1 point
Zarah - gave Marylaine 2 points; Baron 1 point
Based on the results, the housemates nominated for eviction are Megan, who received a total of 7 points, and Marylaine and Jennifer, who accumulated 16 points. Take note that Marylaine was nominated more than Jennifer. Jennifer still didn’t know that the reason why she was included in the nomination is because she and Marylaine are considered as 2-in-1 and as a result, Marylaine’s points are also her points. As nominees, Megan and Jennifer cried as they embrace the possibility of being evicted.
When Megan and Jennifer were asked about their message to the Filipino viewers, Megan asked for the support of the people saying that she may be “maarte and makulit” at times but she is doing her best to do whatever task is given to her especially in eating the street food. She said that she wants to stay in the PBB House longer believing that she can still change for the better. Jennifer on the other hand mentioned that the people may misinterpret her being so frank and she also asked for the support of the people.
