I was able to watch PBB tonight and couldn’t help myself from being sad with what I saw. I haven’t watched the show for a long time and thus a hiatus regarding my blogging on this topic. I didn’t expect that this is what I will be blogging on my return.
The episode showed that the girls won the game for the day and the boys were asked to prepare a treat for them by cooking several food. The housemates had a wonderful day until the time when Yayo was given a bad news.
Amidst the laughter and fun while the boys were preparing for the girls’ treat, Kuya asked Yayo to the confession room to discuss a serious and important matter. In the confession room, Kuya revealed to Yayo that her husband, William Martinez, called Big Brother to inform them that Yayo’s mother was critical in the hospital. Yayo shed tears upon hearing the news. With this family emergency, she was allowed to go out and visit her mother at the hospital and Mariel was given the task to accompany her. After Mariel and Yayo left, the housemates offered prayers for the recovery of Yayo’s mom.
When Mariel and Yayo went to the hospital, they were both shocked to know that Yayo’s mom was already dead. They were told that in the morning, she was still alright but later on the day, Yayo’s family saw her mom lying motionless on the floor. Due to the sorrow of losing her mom, Yayo was not able to contain herself and expressed her grief of losing an important person in her life by crying heavily.
Yayo was allowed to stay longer in the hospital and Mariel was told to go back to Kuya’s house. Upon Mariel’s arrival, the housemates asked her for some details and the latter were told that when Mariel and Yayo arrived in the hospital, Yayo’s mom was already dead. This unexpected situation filled the house with anguish. Mariel said that maybe Yayo’s mother was already dead when the latter was told by Kuya regarding the bad news.
When Yayo was back to the house, she told Kuya about her regrets of not being able to serve her mother when she was alive. Yayo said that she had not seen her mom for two months prior to entering the PBB House and that she had not informed the deceased regarding her plan to enter the PBB House. She felt a pang of guilt on that. She added that she joined this reality TV show not only for her family but also for her mother. She was not able to spend time with her for quite some time because she was also busy with her own family. She thought that if ever she wins this contest, she planned to take her to posh restaurants, buy her great clothes and medicine and many more but with what happened, she wasn’t sure what to do anymore. Yayo knew she had to make a decision. She thought that maybe her mom would want her to continue her stay in the house and on the other hand, she wanted to be with her family during the wake. Big Brother helped her out in making the right decision. Kuya enlightened her that this is the right time for her to show her mom and her children, how she is as a daughter. Big Brother also added that if ever Yayo wins the contest, he thinks that she will not be completely happy because she was not there with her mom during the wake thus, as per Kuya, this is the best time to serve her mom and be with her family.
With the decision she made, Yayo bade goodbye to her housemates leaving sadness in their hearts.
I express my condolences to Yayo Aguila’s family and loved ones.
